We’re excited to share that PermitFlow is officially SOC 2 compliant. 🎉
This milestone highlights our unwavering commitment to protecting customer data and building trust with the contractors, developers, builders, and trades professionals who rely on our platform every day.
“Achieving SOC 2 compliance underscores our commitment to safeguarding customer data,” said Samuel Lam, Co-founder and CTO of PermitFlow. “Builders rely on PermitFlow as the leading permitting platform, where security and trust are essential to giving teams the confidence to move at the pace today’s projects demand.”
Our SOC 2 audit was conducted by A-LIGN, an accredited third party that has been trusted by more than 4,000 organizations globally to help mitigate cybersecurity risks.
What does it mean to be SOC 2 compliant?
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 audit is the industry standard for evaluating how organizations protect customer data. It examines whether a company has effective security controls in place across its infrastructure, software, policies, and people.
Being SOC 2 compliant means an independent auditor has verified that PermitFlow has the appropriate systems in place to protect customer data. This includes everything from managing platform access and encrypting data to monitoring for threats and responding to incidents.
Why does this matter?
When you partner with any technology vendor, you’re entrusting them with sensitive information. In construction, that might include project details, financial documents, and client records.
SOC 2 compliance confirms that your data is safe with that vendor. It’s an added layer of trust that ensures the platform you use is taking the right steps to protect your business’s critical information.
What SOC 2 compliance means for PermitFlow customers
For our current customers, nothing changes — you’ve already been benefiting from the systems and controls that earned us this certification. SOC 2 compliance is a formal recognition of what has always been true: security is at the core of how we build and operate PermitFlow.
While we’re proud of this milestone, it represents business as usual for our team. We hope this achievement reaffirms your trust that your data is safe with us, today and every day.
